I have been out in the sun a lot when I was little, and I imagine my mom put sunscreen on me, but I used to get really, really tan. But as I got older, I still go out in the sun, and use sunscreen, but sometimes I use tanning lotion and it only has spf4, which is not good. So I have decided to really start being concerned about my skin’s health, because I know the sun is getting worse. My main question is, is my skin already really damaged? Will I get lots of freckles and wrinkles when I get older? Or can I still prevent that if I really take care of my skin now? I am 15 years old, and my skin is naturally a lighter olive, but in the summer if I really try I can get tan.
Thank you both, it was very helpful information!

The sun is so bad for your skin, it can cause cancer and give you wrinkles.
So why are people still not wearing sunscreen? Do they just not care or do you think they do not know the damage that sun can cause?
And YES this is a question, why my last question got deleted I have no idea.

I just have a couple questions about my body….
1. Will i get cellulite? I don’t have any huge signs right now that i will but my mom has it (im not trying to be mean) and im just worried that i will get it to. I run almost everyday, i do wall sits, and i skate competitively. Will i have the same body as my mom when im older??? (im 15 and im 5 ft and 97-100 lbs and she is 5′1 ft and is about 120)
2. Will i get varicose veins?? My mom has them so i was just wondering if i will get them?? anyways to prevent them??
3. also what are some vitamins that prevent cellulite, wrinkles, saggy skin, and varicose veins??
4. since i have fair skin does that mean i will get wrinkles and saggy skin??? Both my parents have wrinkles ( i know their supposed and im trying to be mean) i live in minnesota so not much sun here but i have burned when i go trips, i do apply sunscreen of 25-30 every day and night and i have a regular skin care routine.
Im not trying to be mean to my parents or anything im just curious about it and ways i can prevent these things.
10 points best answer!!

Is there anything on the market that works against wrinkles regardless of age. I am making an inference that if I start now, than maybe down the road the face wont be as saggy
!
Let me know. I am looking for things OTHER THAN face wash.
I have clean skin. no pimples or blackheads. easily tan in the sun. not oily, more dry than anything.
Thank u !

I’m only 24 but because I’m in the sun a lot I’m already getting lines under my eyes. I’d like to take care of my skin now while I’m young, before the lines get even worse! Any help?

I’ve only been in a tanning bed twice my whole life and I have no idea how often or how long i should go or anything… I’ve tried laying out in the sun during the summer, but I usually end up with a sunburn instead of tan. I do burn easily and so that’s another thing for me to think about.
I have read a lot of things about bad consequences to tanning, like skin wrinkling and get tougher and even worse skin cancer. So I do know about these things. Although it’s not that I am just wanting to get tan, but I also have a skin condition that I’ve had a number of different people tell me the tanning bed will help clear up. So I want to try to go for at least a month or two and see what happens.
Also, I’ve tried tanning lotions, creams, and even the mistic tan. These look awful on me because they 1- streak or end up orange, 2- my skin condition shows through and looks even worse believe it or not ( I can’t even wear make up due to this skin condition because of how bad it looks if I do. Anything on my face makes it break out.) or 3- are really blotchy and kinda just here and there.
I’ve tried every kind of tan I can think of but a tanning bed so I need help with how often I should go and how long to stay in. If it helps my face, then that would be awesome too!
Thanks.

Like my sister is 2 yrs older than me and her skin is in great condition. Sure she has like acne and I don’t-cause I take really good care of skin-which makes me wonder why her skin is healthy(below the acne) looking. Like she glows and is radiant and moisty looking. And all of her body is like that. Like she doesn’t eat that much(i kinda do, but all like organic and healthy stuff) but she eats greasy processed food and she gets more sun but i have the wrinkles on my forehead and like these weird barelt noticeable bumps under my eye and my skin is like thin but not tight. And hers is pinchable fresh and luscious. How come my skin is so thin and wrinkly and old even though i moisturize so much and eat healthy and stuff?
No I don’t smoke or drink

Ok so I am 20 now, and never go in the sun or to tanning booths.
in fact i am kind of a sun phobe now haha just because I"m so paranoid of wrinkles.
but when i was in my teens, i tanned a lot (well im not sure if its considered a lot because i know a lot of girls do it much more)
when i was 16, i met a girl, vanessa who was always super dark tan. she said she went to the tanning booth 3 times a week. i decided to give it a try, and i purchased a month long unlimited package. i went about 10 times that month, and from then until now probably went about 40 more times in total (my whole life) (this is a wild guess though, and may be more then the actual number)
so my question is;
if I have gone to a tanning booth about 50 times in my whole life, have i already destroyed my skin??
is this going to cause me wrinkles at an early age???
i take impeccable care of my skin now and never tan.
other factors to consider:
I am a dark brunette of
mixed ethnicity (1/4 chinese 1/16 native american)
and have a slight olive tone to my skin.
will this make a difference?

my skin has been really weird for some months now. i used to have really fair, soft skin. however lately its constantly dry, so i take care of it by constantly keeping it moisturized. (not too worried about that though)
however recently, my skin tone is really uneven, and one minute i look fairly ok, the next i look all dark and dull. Even though i take extremely good care of my skin, its not paying off!
the worst part is, its become really thin and delicate too. like, i am easily prone to wrinkles and lines, so i get scared to even makes expression on my face or go out in the sun. i definitely drink enough water and snack on fruits but nothing seems to help. i suffered from depression and took anti depressants and ive stopped, i also applied creams with steroids such as hydrocortisine, but only for a few weeks, and this was about a year ago.
my skin seems so thin and translucent, i can see blood vessels and veins through them, and although im getting sleep i have really dark circles, a darker forehead, with clogged pores which just wont go(tried all kinds of products and steaming my face too) and a darker circle around my mouth.
i use sunscreen when i can too. (im 18, and of indian ethnicity)

apparently from a young age (say a teenager) puts on suncream on their face everyday
before going out even if they live in a not so sunny country (say england) then this will help them when their older say 40-50 and there skin will be so much more youthful and unaged because the sun ages you, is this true ??
also are you supposed to use anti-wrinkle cream from 21 to have a decent effect by the time your 40-50 ?

Every winter i get a fabulous pale complection and it really looks good on me, (im not saying tan skin or dark skin is unappealing, pale just looks BEST on me) anyway, make skin even though i stay out of the sun isnt as pale as i would like it to be and i’ve always been interested in skin whitening pills. do they work? i heard rihanna used them.

I try to care for my skin but I am losing the war…I am 46 and my skin looks 35, but I do not go in the sun and I exfoliate once a week. I see beautiful woman who have no wrinkles. HOw? a woman named Louise who owns the Lancaster Newspaper in PA is in her 80s and has skin that is radiant. God she is so beautiful and dies her hair black. she must take a sinful potion.

I have a decent tan skin because of the summer! I would like my skin to be white again, I tried taking shower 4-5 times showers a day. Stay away from the sun, wear sunblock before I leave the house, but nothing work. So, which product out there is best for fast skin whitening and wouldn’t harm your skin? Thanks! :]

I am twenty one, I wear sunscreen and I don’t smoke, but what can I do to prevent wrinkles besides the obvious? Are there any good skin care brands to use? I use Clinique, is that good? My mom looks ten years older than she really is, and she smoked and stayed out in the sun, and I want to stay young looking.

im 19 and wondering what kind of skin care is better in the LONG TERM like so you dont get wrinkles wen your older etc
A – no skin care all natural
B – cleasne tone and moisterise and protect from sun etc…do all the chemicals in these things do more damage than just leaving your skin alone>?
