★Skin care and undereye wrinkles? HELP!?! ★?

admin April 1st, 2012

Hi, I am a 19 year old female and I need some advice when it comes to skin care.

I take very good care of my skin. I moisturize, I don’t wear eye makeup, I don’t tug/pull on my skin. However, EVERYMORNING when I wake up…I have THESE wrinkles underneath my eyes (they look even worse JUST when I wake up):

PICTURE: http://i41.tinypic.com/2d293zm.jpg

So…I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. It’s not genetics. I drink a good amount of water (although I could drink a bit more), and I even purchased a beauty pillow, a pillow that prevents sleep wrinkles!

And….Nothing.

During the day, they’re not so bad…but they’re still there.
I am a bit self-conscious about them because I know there are gorgeous girls out there, such as yourself, with a lot better-looking and "wrinkle-free" skin. So pleasee..give me advice and please let me know if you have the same problem. Maybe I’m not the only one?

Maybe I’m just being too hard on myself? Thanks so much for any and all advice/tips/info you have.

By the way…this picture was taken with a webcam, haha. It is SOO unflattering, I know. But it’s all I had at the moment. The dark "shadows" are not discoloration…its just from an overhead light. :P

For all teenagers. What do you think of my writing?

Dead next to three photos.

Part 1.
Mrs. Fatima sat at her chair that stood against the yellow painted wall of the living room. The fan whirred above her, squeaking as it turned from side to side. The door of the room facing her remained closed for two months. To her right side, the kitchen smelt of rot bananas with a cup of coffee lying at the bottom of the sink since her son’s last visit, two weeks ago.

The grey light from the round lamp at the ceiling, gave a mysterious aura to Mrs. Fatima’s brown, wrinkled skin. She clicked the golden ring at the forefinger against her knee, and then raised her head to the ceiling. In her white night dress she looked a like a pride waiting for her lover to return, but a dying pride would be of no use.

She dreaded mirrors. She escaped them, afraid to see how time had misshaped her, leaving nothing of her once charming features. Beauty abandoned her. Her cheekbones stuck out under her green eyes and her nose got longer with the skin flattening at around it. Her teeth went yellow and weaker; her jaw dropped to her neck and stiffened at the edges that she could barely move it up and down to eat.

The reality of change had destroyed her life. Her husband died and her three daughters and son got married and left her to the silence of her apartment. Her body stiffened all over and her back arched forward; the front of her feet swelled. She’d feel like walking on hard wood that broke apart and stuck out, piercing through her skin.

The crying went on for four years, since the death of her husband. But by the beginning of the fifth year, she realized that there was no use. Her tears dried up and she knew that no one would ever care to watch them as they twinkled in the light of the room, falling to the ground. The tears were gone.

No one would hug her when she felt cold; no one would sleep beside her and show her how it felt to be a woman. She wondered, what was the use of pain if no one could see it?

She raised her head to the ceiling and her jaw shook as she tried to talk. “God, can you hear me?” She pressed the wooden handle of the chair. “ I cannot be alone any longer. I wish to die.”

She imagined that by tomorrow morning, Mrs. Dalia her neighbor would keep on knocking but she wouldn’t open for she‘d be dead. The neighbors would break the door and Mrs. Dalia would scream and run to her bed and hug her. She’d talk of how she visited her everyday and how she took care of her, of how she told her of her secrets and how she loved her like a mother.

Some minutes later, someone knocked at the door. Mrs. Fatima pressed her hand against the wooden handle of the chair and got to her feet. Bowing forward, she walked to the door. Her whole body shook and stiffened as she tried to steady herself. “Who’s there?” A raspy voice replied back, “Hussein, Mom.” She pushed back the lock with one finger and the door flung open. The door had newly painted white bars behind which thick, non-transparent glass stood. She could see the shadow of the one knocking, like a ghost, arriving to summon her soul.

The bathroom was so small that you couldn’t have a shower unless you were standing. The shower handle hung right above the toilet with the soap bar resting under it at the tiled floor. After having a quick shower, Hussein peed, wore back his shirt and trousers then went to his mother’s room.

Mrs. Fatima Sat at her bed, her feet crossed in the darkness and her thumbs rolling around each other in illusionary circles. Hussein sat next to her and pressed her hand gently against the bed sheet. “How are you, Mom?” She closed her eyes then tugged her hand and pressed it against her chest.

“Mom, I know how it feels to be alone. I’m doing my best. I have a job to do, kids to feed. I can’t be around here beside you all day long. Please, forgive me.” Mrs. Fatima turned her face to the wall as Hussein lowered his face to ground. “I know you feel so bad about me. You’re wondering why is life so cruel to you. I don’t have an answer. I’m sorry.” He patted her on the shoulder and went to the bed next to her.

“It’d be better if you talked to me.” He said examining the ceiling. “What the heck? Good night.” He placed the pillow over his head and after some minutes, he was snoring.

Mrs. Fatima closed her eyes and remained ever conscious to the soft hum of air outside her window.

Part 2
She realized it was morning, not from the light seeping from the window next to her bed, but from the smell of fried beans that twirled up her window every morning for the last forty-five years. The smell wafted up from the small restaurant, belonging to a short man called El. Hag Ahmed. Mrs. Fatima woke to the sound of Hag Ahmed’s shrill voice every morning. He shouted, laughed and spitted. She never got fed up. It reminded her of her younger days when she used to sprint down the stairs and buy her parents and sister some beans from his shop.

How to treat tired looking eyes?

admin August 27th, 2011

First, I’m a man. Age 18.

I’m very light skinned and i do stress easily and dont "always" get the best sleep, but even when im relaxing after a 10 hour sleep i still have purplish bags under my eyes and 2 little wrinkles under my eyes (which is common).

when i was a little younger in high school women would randomly stop me midsentence and tell me i have beautiful eyes (which was weird, but very flattering ahaha) but now, i feel my eye are hidden by my tired looking bags.

question: how important are your eyes to the opposite sex, and how can i treat this? creams? tricks? eye rollers?

i know this may sound a little femine, but my buddy’s gf actually asked me what was wrong with my face as she assumed i had been in a fight. i was understandabled appauled. im tired of these comments and im looking to have fresher face.

cheers!

Pillow wrinkles/ Sleeping wrinkles, HELP!?

admin August 18th, 2011

Basicly when i sleep i bury my head in the pillow so the wrinkles around my mouth are kind of ironed into my face, I wake up in the night and look in the mirror and it looks like i have been smiling loads. I do smile alot throughout the day but at night i use night creams, I have a good diet, I am quite young. I heard sleeping on your back helps but i dont find it very comfy, Also i heard you can get special pillow cases but i have looked for some and they are all very expensive.
So my skin does not repair when i sleep i really need help. Many thanks in advance.

What can you do for premature ageing?

admin June 27th, 2011

i cannot afford botox or dermabrasion right now , i live on disability.

im 32 , and because of life stress, i feel ive prematurely aged slightly . and also i think lack of sleep has contributed to.

i have dark lines from the corners of both eyes stretching to my cheekbones, open pores , frown lines in forehead , skin blemishes , and wrinkles where there weren’t before.

im in the uk.

can anybody recommend a skin care brand , face wash, moisturiser , face scrub , a sun block brand – or whatever that i could go out easily and buy, get easy access to ?

can you name exactly what to buy , ie – face wash, face scrub , moisturiser , what brand to get ?

- and when and in what order to use em ?

could you name and be detailed about what to buy ? i need DETAILED advice please .

nothing complicated that you have to order online or any trial product crap – just strait forward, DETAILED advice .

and finally does dermabrasion work ? is it costly ? and should i save up to have it done or just concentrate on skin care of the face ?

I'm only eighteen. why do I have under eye wrinkles?! Is it possible to get rid of them?!?

admin May 24th, 2011

I have really BAD under eye wrinkles, which are making me very depressed!! I shouldn’t have them because I’m only eighteen!! I hate smiling, because you can only see them when I’m smiling. When I’m not smiling you can’t see much wrinkles. I try to avoid smiling in pictures too. I have large eyes and very thin skin under my eyes. I also have HORRIBLE dark circles under my eyes, but i feel more self-conscious about the wrinkles. I want to know if its possible to get rid of the wrinkles. I read an article online which made me even more depressed and hopeless because it said that there is no way you can get rid of wrinkles, once you have them you just have to learn to live with them. I really wish the article was wrong!! Does anyone know if its true that you can never get rid of wrinkles (especially at eighteen) if its not true, than can you please tell me how to get rid of them. Like what eye creams to use or face masks, etc. I try so hard to drink lots of water, get enough sleep, not feel stressed (which is really hard because I kind of can’t control that), not rub my eyes, not smile, and I’m kind of trying to eat healthy.
PLEASE HELP
Thank you

Help! Fine lines under eyes and I'm only 18! Pics provided.?

admin May 12th, 2011

I have these fine lines under my eyes – not sure if they’re wrinkles or not because I think wrinkles form where skin creases (like when smiling/squinting etc) but I’ve done every possible movement in my face and none of the movements create the lines that have appeared under my eyes. The weird thing is they just randomly appeared one morning – it wasn’t a gradual thing.. they just were there suddenly.. Anyway they’re making me really self conscious now, they’re always there and under some lights they just look so bad. I haven’t tried any eye creams (yet) because I heard they don’t help at all, but maybe they do.. I don’t know. I’m hoping there will be some answers here that will help.

Also: I do exercise – just some push ups and sit ups everyday. And my diet isn’t that great but it’s always been the same so I don’t really see why that would create the lines (especially ones that suddenly appear instead of gradual). Also I definitely get enough sleep.

I definitely get enough sleep and I NEVER wear eyeliner by the way.
Also I forgot to mention: I always wear sunblock when it’s sunny and don’t have excessive sun exposure

Wrinkles at young age of 14? (Pictures included)?

admin May 6th, 2011

My skin is very firm (since I’m only 14, and i massage my face a lot), but I still have wrinkles under my eyes. Under my left eye, there are fine lines, but under my right, there is one huge crease, even when I’m not smiling. I don’t know what to do. My facial massages aren’t working and I have Lo’real eye cream but that isn’t working either. I drink lots of water, and I get plenty of sleep. Can someone please help me?

Major wrinkles and acne at 20?

admin April 18th, 2011

Since coming to college I have suddenly started having terrible issues with my face. After just two years, I have really bad wrinkles under my eyes (huge, kind of deep laugh lines– there are some around my mouth to, but they are just single lines) and have started breaking out again (I have not had bad acne since sophomore year of high school).

I admit that while only 40min away from my hometown, the weather around my school is really dry, but I am just surprised that my once decent skin is now in such horrible shape (it can be like dry/peely yet oily at the same time). I haven’t really changed my facial care routine since highschool until recently when how terrible I look kept being brought to my attention by close family…

I started washing my face twice a day, using a different exfoliating scrub and using an oil free night cream. I also use a day cream which I add sunscreen to occasionally depending on the weather (which I did back in high school as well).

My diet is generally pretty healthy and balanced, and I do not smoke, drink, or party… I mostly just do homework. I admit that last semester I got very little sleep since I had a large course load. I also only work out like three times a week now as opposed to everyday.

There are like two local dermatologists, but no one recommends them, and I have not been able to find a decent one outside of the city… If anyone has any advice for me that would be kind of awesome, sorry if I kind of wrote a lot, I am just really concerned I guess. Oh, and if anyone happens to know any amazing dermatologists in the bay area, please tell me.
Oh, I do only exfoliate once every three days, I just wash my face twice a day.

BAD Undereye Circles….good remedies to get rid of them/hide them?

admin April 14th, 2011

I have dark under-eye circles, and have tried different eye creams, and all kinds of concealers.(yellow,white,skin-tone color, etc etc)
Any thing that works to get rid of them? And really works?
Or a good undereye concelaer that is not gonna slide off my face.(It is a touch oily and alot of make up slides off) Also starting to get wrinkles under yes,and noticed too much pwder/concealer makes them worsen.Thanks.
Forgot to mention, circles are hereditary, not from lack of sleep, etc.My eyelids have a dark color on them too, just not as bad as the circles.

my weekly beauty routine…is it right?

admin April 12th, 2011

ok so to start with im 18 and so I’ve decided to take special care of my skin…esp my face…i just wan to ask some experienced ppl out there who can guide me whether im starting off right…so here you go my weekly routine….beforr i used barr soaps n stuff,it didnt make my skin dry or anything cause i have normal skin texture and my routine would only include washing my face with bar soaps every day and night..thats it and then just cleanse it at night time..i would exfoilate it now and then..but i recently started to have doubts about my skin care routine as my friend said if i continue having this horrible routine my skin would wrinkle early n stuff coz i dont use any mosturizers,so now before going to sleep i cleanse(olay),tone(neutrogena alcohol free toner) and mosturize my skin from olay(suits my skin)…and after waking up i do the same thing, and instead use tinted mosturizer to give my face slight coverage,i’m applying lemon mixed with my cleanser these days to brighten my dark areas(esp dark circles urgh) and also i exfoilate my skin with st ives apricot scrub two times a week now..and apply home grown aloevera on my skin just once weekly…do you think all this sound alright?..and also im confused abt the lemon bit…shud i stop using it once my dark areas start showing results or do i have to apply it every other day or else my dark areas with darken again if i stop using it? (p.s. lemon has no ill effects on my skin, neither does it dry it out, only itches a bit,i moisturize right after washing the lemon off my face)..help appreciated thanks!

How does this story sound?

admin April 10th, 2011

Tainted Roses

The shadow of the rain against my window cascaded on my wall. I stared up at the ceiling with my heart beating slowly, almost fading. I was supposed to be sleep, but I wasn’t quite that tired. Besides I had so many more thoughts on my mind than sleep.

I turned onto my side and stared at my roommate, Chase. He had his dark obsidian hair covering his face, and he was snoring quietly. His pale skin was like smooth, polished porcelain, and he was beautiful. I closed my eyes and cleared my mind, forcing myself to sleep. I slowly drifted away into a unconsciousness I can’t explain.

The night was cold and dark. I made my way toward the campus, with an uncanny feeling that someone was watching me. Just as my feet touch the stairs, I’m not anywhere near the campus anymore. I’m in a forest. I can tell because there’s birds chirping, and so many trees surrounding me.

I turn to look for the campus, walking swiftly through the cold. I trip and fall over dead roots and broken branches on the ground. I hear a crunching sound behind me, and realize I’m not alone anymore. My side begins to hurt painfully, and I reach and feel a branch sticking through my pale skin. I grimace at the pain and try to call for help. A sweet, cool voice enters my mind, telling me to hold still and stay calm. I don’t listen, I pull the limb out my side and watch the crimson blood cover my white blouse. The voice enters my mind again, and I try my best to block it out.

I stand again, and try my best to run. I hear the crunching sound again and when I turn back around there’s a little girl standing in front of me. She’s hurt, bleeding from her neck.
“ Oh god,” I say and run toward her.“ What happened? Are you okay?” My breathing becomes heavy. She points behind me and I spin my head around to see three beautiful creatures standing behind me. I stand trying to protect the girl.
“ Wesley,” the tall male says and walks forward. I back away and realize that they’re not after the little girl, and that their after me.

He holds out a pale hand, the color of cream, and says in a tranquil voice, “ Come my child.” Being drawn into his mind, I follow his voice and take his hand. He smiles showing his pearly white teeth and holds me close to his side. He sees the blood dripping from my abdomen and pushed me against a tree. The other two help him hold me down. I began to scream on the top of my lungs. There’s a painful icy feeling at my neck and up to see the man biting through my flesh.
“ I told you my child, we’’ll meet again.” he pulls away. I scream even louder, but I know no one will here me and I was going to die.

I woke up to see Chase standing over me, shaking me. It’s light outside, I’m in my dorm room, and I am automatically aware that it was just an nightmare. I breathe in the fresh air in the room and feel my forehead.
“ Are you okay? You were shaking and screaming. I thought you we’re having some kind of episode or something.” I shake my head and pull the covers aside.
“ Is it the same nightmare you’ve been having every single night?” I shake my head and stare at the red walls. The color red just suddenly makes me thirsty. My mouth began to water and I remember my dream, and the blood. The cerise fluid running down my neck.
“ He called me his child.” I finally speak. I wrinkle my forehead confused and walk to my closet. I grab my uniform.
“ It’s just weird that I’ve been thinking about blood lately. I mean, every time I have the dream I always get these cravings.” He stands and walks behind me. He spins me around to face him. He pulls me into a friendly hug and pats me on the back.
“ I’m sure it’s some side-affect of a disease your getting. Whatchamacallitnism.” He jokes around. I chuckle and grab some tights from my dresser.
“ Yeah maybe.”
“ Or you might be some lost vampire.” I shake my head, but the word vampire brings chills through my body. I run my fingers through my hair and pull off my night clothes. Since we have been roommates since 7th grade, we don’t have problems changing in front of each other. I pull on a white button up shirt, a plaid skirt, and my leggings. I finish buttoning my blouse and caught Chase’s eyes. He stares at my abdomen. At the freshly cut scar on my side. I recognized it too and traced my fingers over it. It’s still sore and only a twig or branch could have made that cut.
“ What happen?” he asks. I open my mouth, but a feeling comes over me. A craving. I drop my shoes, my eyes darken and I stare at Chase as if I want to kill him. There’s a snarl in my chest. I smell it. I smell the cerise fluid. I jump onto Chase and hold him down. I sniff his neck, there it is. The veins carrying the cherry goodness.
“ What are you doing?” He pushed me off him. I come back to reality and he stares at me like I’m some nut case.
“ Wesley, you’re nose is bleeding.” I touch my nose and feel the gushy blood drip down my mouth. It’s a dark reddish tint, with a hint

What causes my eyes have wrinkles within a week?

admin April 2nd, 2011

I am 27 and have beautiful skin and I look about 25 or less. I went to skiing. and I was terrify of it and my adrenaline was running all day.
Then next day I ran out of olay night cream. So i have been using body lotion for my face for a week. Then I walk out in the cold twice this week. I got winter rash. and my eyes has wrinkles like how my mom has it. I know the winter rash will go away. But will my wrinkle under my eyes will go away too? I look like I age so much, I look 30 now.
I sleep 9 hours or more everyday. and i drink enough water.

not a question: Being a good samaritan to those with bad skin.?

admin March 31st, 2011

I suffer from mild inflammatory acne/oilly skin since i was 16, im 19 now. For the past year and a half ive been using harsh creams and antibiotics given to me by a "good" dermatologist. Ever since i started to "treat" my skin my skin has been dry to say the least. Especially since i started with Epiduo a couple of monthes back which left me looking like a raisin(bit exaggerated). I looked bad lets put it at that. I was fed up, i left all the acne creams and went all natural. I wash my face 2x a day with Avene Cleanance gentle wash for young acne-prone skin. In the morning i apply Oat mousse, which softens and hydrates my skin. At night, i wash my face, apply the mousse again and place pure aloe vera gel (make sure it doesn’t clog pores) over the mousse and go to sleep. It works great, my skin is regenerating very fast, hydrated, and acne free. Hydration and management of the oil on your face is all you need to avoid acne. Treat the cause at the root, not when it appears. It’s like preventing wrinkles whereas putting makeup over the wrinkles. Aloe vera prevents wrinkles and it cleans your skin in a very very mild way while making it pretty. Email me at: invad3d_data@yahoo.com if you need any tips from someone who has done alot to cure his skin problems and has finally found a great, non consequencial way to manage my skin. Doing this regime will keep my skin wrinkle free :D

What skin care routine is best for me?

admin March 28th, 2011

I’m not quite sure what kind of skin care routine I should start with. I usually get blackheads on my nose, but lately I’ve been getting deep pimples under my eyes, along my hairline, and my forehead. They’re pretty painful, and I tend to be a picker, so I figured I would nip it in the bud and just start taking better care of my skin. I have somewhat oily skin and I tend to wear makeup, and on top of that I sleep next to my boyfriend who has EXTREMELY oily skin and hair. I’m wondering what some suggestions would be for:
-face wash
-moisturizer
-eye cream
-make up remover
-serum
-anti-wrinkle cream
-emollient cream
-base

I’m not very girly, and don’t know much about brands or what’s best for oily skin. Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated!

Does eyeliner cause premature wrinkles around your eyes?

admin March 19th, 2011

I am 15 years old and i started wearing makeup, almost daily, in middle school probably around the age 13 years old. My mother always says that I will get wrinkles earlier on if i keep wearing make-up. I was just wondering if i what my mom says is correct.
I take off my make up everyday before i go to sleep and i apply a moisturizer everyday after i wash my face as well.
I use a Dior make up remover for the eyes and the baby lotion by johnson & johnson because i found that it is very gentle on my skin and makes my face more smooth and clean looking.

What is the ideal age to start using anti aging cream?
If so, which products should i use?
&
does make up actually cause wrinkles?
Thanks!

thin skin……………………………?

admin February 20th, 2011

my skin has been really weird for some months now. i used to have really fair, soft skin. however lately its constantly dry, so i take care of it by constantly keeping it moisturized. (not too worried about that though)

however recently, my skin tone is really uneven, and one minute i look fairly ok, the next i look all dark and dull. Even though i take extremely good care of my skin, its not paying off!

the worst part is, its become really thin and delicate too. like, i am easily prone to wrinkles and lines, so i get scared to even makes expression on my face or go out in the sun. i definitely drink enough water and snack on fruits but nothing seems to help. i suffered from depression and took anti depressants and ive stopped, i also applied creams with steroids such as hydrocortisine, but only for a few weeks, and this was about a year ago.

my skin seems so thin and translucent, i can see blood vessels and veins through them, and although im getting sleep i have really dark circles, a darker forehead, with clogged pores which just wont go(tried all kinds of products and steaming my face too) and a darker circle around my mouth.

i use sunscreen when i can too. (im 18, and of indian ethnicity)

At what age am i supposed to get wrinkles?

admin February 14th, 2011

I’m 27 and don’t have them yet, but my 30 yo friend does and she looks pretty old already.

At what age to average women get wrinkles?
And are there any way to prevent them?

My friend seem to be taking good care of her skin i don’t why she still got them at 30.
My lifestyle is terrible- i never follow a schedule, lack sleep, eat unhealthy foods, don’t exercise much.

whats good for wrinkles at age 25?

admin January 9th, 2011

Im 25 years old with a very fair complexion. Im very light skinned but Im hispanic. Every since a very young age I started wearing makeup. Been a middle school girl and thrue my teenaged years I didnt bough so good quality makeup pretty much anything I can affored. So when I reach my 20s I bough decent quality makeup but I realized just because the price is high means is good for your skin.
About 10 months ago I started using mineral makeup which have work wonders for me. I also suffer from acne… mild. Will come and go but before wearing mineral makeup it got to the worst point. Now is mild. I also have extremly oily forehead and nose. T-Zone area. when I used oil free mosturaizer it makes my face so fleaky and xtreamly dry is gross. but if I go for the normal skin mosturazer is extreamly greassy yuk. so I notice a few very notorious wrinkles under my eyes. Now Im 25 and I want to find something that will help me get rid or stop gettin more or prevent worst wrinkles. I want something affordable since Im a collage student and my budget is low. Also I dont sleep enough to I also notice dark circles under my eyes. I need help. I want to know what cream I can used to stop this issue. Im not familiar with face creams so sameone help me. I dont sleep with makeup on and I do drink alot of water. So I just need Help finding the righ face cream and eye cream.
