Do you use any other skin care products besides Proactiv for wrinkles etc?? If so, what do you use and how? How do you deal with the dryness caused by Proactiv?

I have combination skin (normal/dry skin on cheeks and side of face and oily skin on my forehead, nose and chin). my acnes not that bad, its like moderate. I mostly get lots of skin colored small pimples and sometimes big red ones. the little skin colored ones are really annoying and ive used proactiv, acnefree, clean&clear advantage and clinique. proactiv worked for a while then stopped working, acnefree kept my skin the same, clinique dried my skin out, so clear and clear is the best acne treatment ive used but wondering if theres something better.
ive heard of something called exposed, is that any good? or zenmed or any of those brands?
also are there any good prescription creams available at the dermatologist?
kthanks

I was considering trying out proactiv, but I don’t have any current acne since my birth control takes care of most of that. My main problem is just a really uneven complexion and some redness, but I’m not sure proactiv or any of these other skin care systems would do anything for it. I just want my skin to have a healthy glow. Also, I have very oily skin, to the point where I have to wipe it away from my face, and it ruins my makeup after only being on for a couple of hours. I know there are makeup out there for oily skin but I want to find something to help it, not just cover it up. Any suggestions would be amazing, thanks!

My acne isn’t that bad. I’ve never really experienced acne before until now. I am 25 years old, and I have just noticed a breakout. I started using something light, like ambi, and that didn’t work. Then I decided to try Neutrogena Anti-Acne Cleanser and mosturizer. In the meantime, I had placed an order for proactiv. So, I used the Neutrogena for about 3 days until the proactiv came, and then I waited about 3 or 4 days (I stopped using the Neutrogena) and began using the proactiv. Well, the proactiv seemed to make it worst. The Neutrogena wasn’t given me any problems though, I just thought the proactiv would work quicker. But, it didn’t. It just dried my face out and it itches from time to time. I have an appointment with the Dermatologist this coming wednesday so, I wll have to see what he says for me to use. But, do you think that using the Neutrogena is good?

I’m 17 and I have mild acne that always leaves scarring, I used to used the Neutrogena oil-free acne wash but i feel like its too harsh for my skin. Any suggestions?
I’m not really looking for an acne treatment like proactiv just a simple drugstore cleanser that is good for african-american skin and thats also tones to get rid of my dark post-acne scars.

I’m suddenly experiencing a blemish outburst as a result of stress. the blemishes left dark spots behind. I want to try out Proactiv for the first time, hope it works. But i want to get rid of the dark spots fast and want to try out Dermaline as well. Can both products be used at the same time?

What is good makeup and treatments for acne skin?besides proactiv.(it did not work for me)something that can remove my pimples but not dry my skin like proactiv did and stop working after 2 months like proactiv.

I have been using clearasil spot treatment (the tinted kind to cover up while cleaning up) and it works pretty well, it just over dries my skin.
Know of any treatments (BESIDES PROACTIV) that will do a good job without over drying.
I know all skin types are different, but suggestions please?

I have oily skin, but it is also very sensitive. I have been using Proactiv for awhile, but it is expensive and I think it is a little harsh on my skin (although it does a pretty good job of clearing up the acne).
What products should I try that will work well with sensitive skin by still take care of the oil and blemishes?
Thanks.

it sounds good to me… personalized acne treatment. i’ve got semi bad acne, always been very irritated by it. for christmas a pal has agreed to get me an acne kit to help me feel relieved and prettier, and i’m interested in the skin id by neutrogena. i was just wondering if anyone could tell me about personal experiences with this acne kit, or any other like proactiv or whatever. suggestions? i don’t have sensitive or dry skin so that’s not the issue. i just want something that really gets rid of the annoying red bumps

I am a 30 yr old female with combination/oily skin. i have never had problems with acne in the past other than an occasional pimple here and there. i have tried neutrogena, which is said to be better than proactiv, but it doesn’t work, and it over dries my skin. i usually break out around my chin, and on either side of my nose. these originate from under the skin. i need a remedy. any dermatologists out there with suggestions? anyone?

I currently use Proactiv and it’s not treaty the under-skin pimples i have. It works wonders for the few white heads i get but i mainly get the under-skin pimples that hurt to touch. My skin is normal. It’s not oily or dry its just normal. Please not im 14 so nothing too expensive. If you have acne like mine what do you suggest i use?
