13 year old skin care….. Please Answerrr. 5 stars best answer…?

admin July 18th, 2011

Ok what at most should a 13 year old girl use for skincare? I would like to use more then just a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. I would like to use as much as I can but only if it benefits me. I am afraid that if I use higher end products like bobbi browns hydrating face cream or MAC products then my skin will grow "immune" to the products and wont work for me when I am 20 or 30 when I might really need it.
Ok here is a list of skincare products. If you think it should be in my skincare then just type the number beside it. Or you could spell it outt…….
Also, please leave your opinion on this. And try to give me reason of why you think this!!! Also Im not stupid…..I wont put wrinkle "helpers" or anything having to do with wrinkles.

List:
1.night moisturizer ( basically a thicker moisturizer like bobbi brown hydrating face cream)
2.moisturizer (day)
3.body moisturizer
4.neck moisturizer
5.eye (treatment) ( usually consists of eye rollers or anything thats not an eye cream or gel)
6.skin booster ( Things like MAC Fix+ or Sprays, Gels and creams that contain healthy properties )
7.Baby Wipes
8.cleanser
9.clarisonic mia
10.toner
11.mask(s)
12.exfoliator
13.lip balm
14.acne gel or spot treatment
15.eye cream
16.skin serum

Ok thxx if you actually put in effort for this question!!!
wowwww…. I do eat healthy
I dont actually use all of this!! I honestly just use a cleanser a toner and a moisturizer!. And 2 masks every week or so. I am just curious on how much I should take care of my skin.. I am not by any means OCD but thats how I think i sorta feel with skin and hair etc. I just really like pampering myself!!

Is this to much makeup for a 7th grader (middle school)?

admin May 30th, 2011

Hi,
I am in middle school and I am wondering if this is an okay amount of makeup:

I use moisturizer (like face cream, it prevents wrinkles when you get older, less dry skin, ect), a light amount of cover girl powder over that and blend it. It looks like I am not really wearing makeup.

On my eyes I use a light shade of an almost faded pink eyeshadow. I have pale skin so it looks pretty good.

I usually see girls with heavy mascara and foundation and eye shadow at my school, but my aunt says I shouldn’t wear makeup at all, so I just want some more opinions.

Oily, acne-prone skin that is very dry from winter…?

admin February 10th, 2011

My skin is dry and flaky all over which I have never experienced until this year. However, I get acne from everything and anything, even when something claims to be oil free it clogs my pores and breaks me out like crazy, especially on my back and shoulders. So is there any good lotion or face cream that is good for dryness and aging skin (I am in my late 20s so I have to think about preventing wrinkles now) but will not break me out? I also cannot use body wash anymore for acne because it dries me out too much. So any suggestions for body wash would be great, too. Please READ this carefully before answering because people will answer my questions and suggest products made for teens like clearasil. I cannot use that stuff because it dries my pre-aging skin out.
Can someone suggest a good foundation too? One that won’t rub off onto clothes? I use Neutrogena skin clearing foundation but that is starting to dry me out, too! I am thinking it’s just because of winter weather. How is Almay TLC foundation? With SPF? Will that break me out?

What's a face cream/night cream that won't break me out?

admin January 1st, 2011

I usually have really good skin but every time I do my skin care regimen at night (cleanse, toner, moisturize) in the morning I wake up with a few zits. I’m using Nivea Face Cream at night. And I don’t want to stop using a face cream at night cause I know how much it helps to prevent wrinkles/aging. So if anyone has advice for me on what face cream to use that would be great.

Thanks!

Under eye help?

admin December 28th, 2010

I’ve just been using my regular face cream (Nivea Soft) under my eyes and it just seems to be making the skin around my eyes worse (milia/wrinkles).

I need something cheap or homeade that I could use to improve and moisturize my undereye area.

I have next to no money.

Thankyou!

My eyes hurt, what do I do?

admin December 23rd, 2010

Generally…
My eyelids become red and wrinkled for the past 3 days.
One week ago or so I changed my face cream – from one for normal to oily skin, to emollient, but they’re the same brand.
I’ve also changed my face lotion, but I switched them back and it doesn’t get any better.
It’s been like this for the past 3 days. It doesn’t really hurt, unless I’ve got tears, but it looks aged…
Is it possible to be like this due to the cold weather? Or is it something else?
Any tips?

Why do people use products with harmful chemicals and think it's okay?

admin December 2nd, 2010

Okay, I just don’t get it. How can anyone slather on products with loads of chemicals that obviously are poisonous and then wonder why we age so fast, why we have diseases?

I see women buying face cream that supposedly keeps wrinkles at bay when all it does is let toxins into the body and actually age your skin. Or how can you use all these household cleaning products, stuff that you can’t even eat without dieing in 10 minutes, and believe that they are making their houses "clean"? Or the shampoo we use, dumping toxins all over our heads.. Just google the chemicals on the bottles and see what they do to us!!!

Whatever happened to mother nature’s remedies? Natural oils for moisturizing, mild castile soap like Dr. Bronners, vinegar and lemon juice for cleaning? This all work as well if not way better!!!

People, we need to realize that we are posioning ourselves. We don’t need all these chemicals.
Jenny D, I respect your answer fully. It just makes me sad to see people poisoning their bodies!
Souda- Only in the smallest of circumstances should we use chemicals. Okay, rust removal requires rust remover. But things like bathtub scum can be removed easily without cleaning products! As far as sunscreen goes, most sunscreens actually cause cancer with the chemicals present in them and age you faster. We burn because we need more nutrition and antioxidants, and because we need to stay indoors or in the shade at certain times of the day.
I use Dr. Bronner’s castille liquid soap. It is excellent and very concentrated, so a little goes a long way. It cost about 16.99 for big bottle but will last you quite some time! Go to walgreens or any natural food store and they will have it. Be forewarned though, it has lots of strange religious writings all over it, but it is a great soap! I use it for everything!

Men, which would you prefer?

admin October 22nd, 2010

I saw an advert for a men’s face cream today, promising all the usual things, less wrinkles, taking care of your skin, improved appearance, etc and it seems to me that the beauty regime has turned its attention to the male half of the species.

For a long time, it was believed that men prefered women who were young and good looking because it showed proof of their fertility. Yet now it seems that men are coming under the same pressure to appear, young, slim and attractive.

So, with all the anxieties, ill-health, wasted money and obsession over looks that men will now be subject to, which would you prefer…

To give up the whole idea of the beauty regime for men and for women – both will simply enjoy looking healthy and natural, and be unafraid to show their true appearance, or signs of ageing.

Or – to keep the beauty regime for the sake of being able to admire beautiful, well maintained women, even if it means you have to now up your game by spending money on creams, cosmetics, skin firming sessions, hair removal, etc etc?

If you had to choose between joining in the beauty game, or abandoning it altogether, which would you prefer? :-)
The Wright Stuff – I do agree, but it all depends on what men do now – buy into it, or reject it, which do you think that will be? :-)

Ladies over 30! What skincare do you use and how does it work for you?

admin October 18th, 2010

I need some good face cream for my age, 32. I have combination skin with some discolorations on my chin and forehead. I don’t have wrinkles, but I have a tendency towards… um.. not very firm skin. What would you recommend? Something affordable, please!

Under eye wrinkles?

admin October 17th, 2010

Ok, so I have noticed that I have loose skin under my eyes which causes very fine-looking little wrinkles. I wash my face and use St. Ives face cream afterwards because my skin feels really dry, sometimes some cheap eye gel. But I’ve been using it alot…and nothing. It just dawned on me…I think a factor could be from rubbing at the contacts in my eyes.

Can I do anything to reverse this or make it look a little better. And prevent anything new….All the products out there are very confusing. But what is the best?

P.S. I don’t tan or smoke, and I only drink every now and then. So don’t even mention that stuff.

why did my skin all of a sudden get so dry and scaly looking ?

admin September 28th, 2010

Hi! i’m fourteen, and i was getting bad breakouts for the first time. i started using Olay Pore Minimizing face wash and Dove Gentle Exfoliating face cream. i would put Clear Zit on any pimples i would get. But then my skin started getting scaley and old looking, what kind of face wash, and face cream should i use. cause im too young for wrinkles but i want to get rid of and keep pimples from coming. so i want something that will do all that. admin September 22nd, 2010

I wanted to use some face cream that is supposed to smooth out wrinkles, even though I’m 19. I know I don’t have many wrinkles now but wouldn’t using the face cream help prevent them in the future? Someone said it really can damage skin or something. What does it really do?
