wrinkle prevention?

admin November 4th, 2010

I am almost 30, and while my face has no visible wrinkles, i want to stay looking young. Are there any creams that work for combination skin? A lot of products tend to break me out…

Most creams I see in the stores are for people that want to "reduce the appearance of wrinkles"…I want to prevent them, but I also don’t want to put harsh chemicals on my face that is going to cause me to age.

what about creme de la mer? is it all its hyped up to be? I would never dream of spending that kind of money but if it was that great i would certainly think about it.

Advice ladies my age and older?

HELP! I need some skin care advice for a 34 year old woman, what can you recommend?

admin October 5th, 2010

I have combination skin. I am a natural blond with fair skin. Luckily, I really don’t have any wrinkles yet except for some starting under my eyes. I am a smoker though and I am trying to quit not only for beauty’s sake but my health. I have spent a lot of time in the sun in my life but the past couple of years, I haven’t been tanning. I have samples of Estee Lauder’s "Advanced Night Repair", Clinique’s "Total Turnaround", and Lancome’s "Resolution." I like how they all feel. They are costly though and I wonder if they are really worth it or am I just as well off with a cheaper drug store brand? How many times a day should I be cleansing, moisturizing, using anti-wrinkle products, and possibly using a mask? I break out but mainly just around my jaw line. I do have large pores that are constantly clogged! I’d love it if someone could suggest products to use and when to use them. I’m afraid to go to the department store and go to a make-up counter ’cause they (cont’d)
are out there to make commission and I don’t want to spend a fortune! I mean, what is a reasonable amount of money to spend on a monthly skin care regime???? I’d also like to get Microdermabrasion but how costly is it now and how painful is it? I have some deep acne scarring. Also, if I wear foundation, should I put products for skin care on underneath the make-up? What is your favorite skin care line? I know some dermatologists have their own lines of skin care products, are there any good ones out there? One more problem, my chest is heavily freckled (well, I guess they are sun spots), how can I help get rid of them or are they permenant now? I’m done tanning. I’d like to try the professional spray tanning but am afraid it won’t look real. Have you tried that? SORRY about all the que stions! I’m just worried ‘ cause I’m getting close to middle age and I want to keep some of my youthful looks like any other woman! THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Organic skin care and eye cream?

admin October 2nd, 2010

So now that I have gotten older, I’m in my early 30’s, I went from having a combination skin to drier skin. For the past year I have been using only organic products, specifically the Aubrey line. I have been using the Rosa Mosqueta cleanser and moisturizer, but I don’t think it’s doing enough because my skin is still quite dry.
Can you recommend me another good organic line I can use? My skin is also sensitive.

Plus, I am overwhelmed with all the eye creams out there…which one is the best for sensitive skin like mine? I don’t have any wrinkles yet but I am looking for something preventative and nourishing.

Any answer will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance :)

Best fine line cream for eyes/face…preventative?

admin September 15th, 2010

I’m 28 years old- I wouldn’t say I have "wrinkles", but little tiny fine lines you can see up close.
I’m not extremely concerned-but would like to try something for those fine lines-
I have combination skin. It can get oily- especially in the summer, but also gets a little dry sometimes.

There are SO many out there- so it’s hard to make a decision- any suggestions?

Does anyone have any skin care advice for my aging skin?

admin September 1st, 2010

I have just hit the age of 30 (about 7 months ago to be precise), and it’s almost as though my skin has doubled it’s age in the past 7 months…

Not sure where to begin, but I believe I have combination skin – looks oily but there is also flakes found on my forehead.
I have very large open pores on my forehead (actually on most of my face – although I never get pimples), not to mention quite a few wrinkles all across my forehead that seem deeper each day.

As well my skin is not only very pale (nothing I can do about that – it’s just the way I am), but it no longer has ANY glow to it whatsoever. Extremely dull and greyish almost looking…… Being pale is bad enough.

Oh, and did I mention it is extremely sensitive? I just can’t seem to win.

I am just wondering if anyone recommends any product line or daily routine (including products) that may help all of these issues. It seems like I need skin care for every kind of skin problem except for pimples, but that would require me to buy a multitude of day creams, night creams, toners, etc.,. instead of hopefully finding a routine of a couple of definite products that may help all these issues:

Large Pores
Fine (becoming deeper) lines
Combination/Oily/Sensitive Skin
Very dull and flaky in some areas

I am pregnant so am trying to drink lots of water (for about 4 months now), but it doesn’t seem to have really helped and I most definitely still do not have any sort of pregnancy ‘glow’.

Thanks everyone

What line of acne medication will be most effective for my skin?

In order to treat very sensitive, irritated, combination skin with acne, what acne treatment system is best to use for my skin, either from experience, or knowledge.. It gets irritated very, very easily. Dermatologists can’t help, I’ve been to three. Don’t say proactiv.
Please state your story.
Thank you.

admin August 24th, 2010

I just want some kind of moisturizing night cream for my face that prevents wrinkles even though I am 24. Just something that will tighten the skin and make it look glowy during the day. Something that I can put on every night for a really long time, that wont have any bad side effects. Any recommendations? I have combination skin and i dont have any acne or anything like that.

What is the best skin care routine?

admin August 22nd, 2010

This was another questions answer:
Healthier skin is dependant on a balanced diet, hydration, adequate physical exercise, protection from the sun and a daily skin care regimen. You can follow four easy steps to improve your skin’s health.

Step One — Cleanse. Cleansing you skin and removing dirt, makeup and other impurities that clog your skin is essential. You should cleanse your skin at least twice a day with a mild, non-irritating cleanser. Your cleanser should not strip your skin of its natural oils and it should easily rinse away.

Step Two — Tone. Using a toner rehydrates, cools, nourishes and refreshes your skin. Toners remove any remaining traces of dirt, makeup or oil you cleanser may have not removed. It’s good to use a toner that is alcohol-free, as alcohol may dry your skin.

Step Three — Exfoliate. Exfoliants help remove dead cells that accumulate on the surface of your skin. Make sure the exfoliant is not granular so you do not damage new skin. Exfoliants with alpha or beta hydroxy acids improve the skin’s rejuvenation process, eliminating fine lines and wrinkles.

Step Four — Moisturize. Just as the rest of you body requires hydration and nutrients, so does your skin. Your skin should be treated with a daytime moisturizer that provides a broad spectrum sunscreen daily. At night, using a more intense moisturizer helps to rebalance and normalize your skin as you sleep.

These four basic steps can firm and restore your skin’s natural suppleness. Each step is also beneficial for any skin type. You can choose products that are specific to your skin’s special needs to achieve healthier skin :)

What are the best cleansers, toners, exfoliators& moisturizers for combination skin (oily t-zone and dry cheeks)?
and should i use all four steps every morning and night?

thank you! :D

Skin care kits?? Tips? what to do for insanely dry knees?

admin August 13th, 2010

i am looking for a skin care kit for combination skin that i can just do every day. please none of this weekly things or every other day. just something a little more simple. I am 13, so i don’t need anything "anti-aging" i don’t want anything that will give me wrinkles later-obviousely. I have dry skin but i still get zits in the dry areas. the kid I am looking for would hopefuly have a facial serum, a balancing cream, an eye cream, and a spot treatment. if you know about any kits, or personal tips, or if you could tell me your own *succesful* skin care routine-please post it. and obviousely ive been giving the details for my face but my body skin is just, normal i guess. my knees are increadibly dry, they don’t even feel like skin. i mosturize there twice a day, and it never helps. so any tips that you know are increadibly appreciated.
