Best treatment for "under the skin" acne?

admin December 13th, 2010

Please don’t bother answering if you don’t have experience with "under the skin" acne or even know what I mean by that!

The little skin colored bumps that almost look like a rash all over cheeks, forehead, sometimes chest. If you have had this, have you found a good treatment for it, (preferably not meds) some sort of skin care system that has worked to eliminate these acne bumps?

Thanks!

i need a good skin care regimen?

admin December 8th, 2010

now that i’m 18, i want to start taking good care of my skin so my face doesn’t look like leather when i’m old. i know i’m a little young to be worrying about wrinkles, but i just really want to have healthy skin. right now i just use an acne cleanser and some oil-free SPF moisturizer, but i think i need more. my skin is still pretty oily, but every now and then it will get dry on my cheeks. i still get acne sometimes, but not as much as i did when i was younger. basically, my skin is just in-between and i need some good products to take care of it that won’t clog up my pores. any suggestions are appreciated. :)

I have never taken care of my skin. Should I start now?

admin November 27th, 2010

I’m 21 years old..soon to be 22.
I’ve used one cleaner before when I was younger to get rid of acne. But for years I have not really done anything. I have combination skin(dry cheeks oily forehead and t zone) I have visible pores on my cheeks and some pink/redness on my cheek area and my nose. I till get pimples on my temple and cheek area. usually on the side I sleep on.

I guess I just don’t know what kind of skin care products or routine I should get. I’ve been watching a lot of youtube videos of skin care routines by girls and It makes me want to start taking care of it now. Is it too late? And should I be getting wrinkle cream and everything? Because Honestly.. I’m lost and I would appreciate anyone’s help. I will try anything if you recommend it. Department store or drug store. I just need to be pointed to the right direction :)

How can I shrink my pores and brighten my skin?

admin November 21st, 2010

Hi! I have a few problems when it comes to my skin:

1. I have enlarged pores on my nose and cheeks around my nose. I don’t think they are really clogged because I clean my face every night. The skin around my nose is somewhat oily. I have tried avocado masks and the Biore pore strips but it still doesn’t help. I would like to make my pores go back to there normal size which would also make my skin a bit tighter (not that I have wrinkles or anything).

2. I am very fair-skinned and my skin sometimes looks tired and pale instead of just fair. Because my skin is so light, it is easy to see a sort-of unevenness in my skin tone. I exfoliate with St. Ives apricot scrub every night so I would think that would help.

3. I have trouble areas (my cheeks and chin) that have some bumps and the occasional zit that will just not go away no matter how much I treat it. How can I help this?

My nightly skin care regimen is:

-wash with St. Ives green tea anti-redness and blemish cleanser
-scrub with St. Ives anti-blemish apricot scrub
-swipe rubbing alcohol onto trouble areas (sometimes)
-apply clearasil 4 hour "zit vanishing" cream to trouble areas
-moisturize with Jergens cell renewer and skin smoothing lotion

I know I may have gone overboard on how many products I should use every night, but I don’t know how else to help. Please help and thank you so much in advance!

Best moisturizer for skin?
I wanted to know what would be a good moisturiser for the face.I would like to apply it at nightime.I am in my 20s and have fairly dry skin would like to take care early on so that my skin stays healthy ,however I would not like to use the anti-aging or anti-wrinkle products this early.I sometimes have zits come up on my cheeks but not very severe.

Would a cream like Ponds,Niveia,Oil of Olay be fine for the face.Would they do any good?
Or should i try something lighter?
I appreciate your feedback!

Used acne treatment, now I have dry/peeling/flaky skin?

admin November 13th, 2010

I went to the doctor to ask about some acne treatment. She recommended "PanOxyl Aquagel." It says in the pamphlet that you may experience redness and dry skin on the area that the "gel" is applied to. I used it once a day since last Tuesday. I noticed some redness and that my skin was dry but it didn’t bother me. But by Thursday I noticed that my skin was peeling a bit where I had applied the gel (my cheeks). It didn’t bother me, as it was only a small amount of peeling, so I continued using the gel.
Then, got up on Friday morning, looked in the mirror and there was dead/peeling/flaky skin all on my cheeks. It was as if I had been sunburnt and my skin was peeling. I stopped using the treatment. My dad recommended I put some baby lotion on the flaky skin to clear it up. I did so and it ‘went away’ (dunno where to) but it was only a quick fix. I’ve kept using the baby lotion but like I said, it’s only a quick fix.
Is it worth using the lotion? How can I get rid of the peeling?

I need an inexpensive acne treatment for sensitive skin?

admin November 4th, 2010

I get acne all over my forehead, part of my chin, and some times on the cheeks.
No blackheads ever.
It’s a little oily, but whenever I wash it or put any acne treatment stuff over top of it it gets really dried out and sometimes burns a bit.
Please suggest an inexpensive routine/treatment that I could get at a pharmacy or the mall.

I’ve tried proactive and it hurt my face beyond repair for a while. It was much too strong.

My parents and I are really struggling financialy right now, so I can’t afford to go to a dermatologist (and our insurance doesn’t cover it).
Please suggest something really cheap. The top amount of money that I am willing to pay is about .
Thanks in advance!

how to maintain in having nice, clear, and flawless face?

admin October 15th, 2010

i am starting to take good care of my face now. i am 22 and i feel that my face isn’t as when i was 18. i have friends of my age who still have nice skin just like baby skin. i do have clear skin and hardly have any acne. but, when i look in the mirror i see that i have big pores. i don’t know much about skin products. my face is really oily especially on the t-zone area, eyebrows is combination of dried and oily, cheeks is combination of dried and oily, and usually around my chin and mouth is a bit dried.

i don’t have any wrinkles, but i see that i have really small lines on my t-zone and a little bit under my eyes. is that any good eye cream to help reduced those fine lines?

any suggestions?

i do use a cleanser, toner and moisturizer…but why does my face still feel a little tight and it turns red on my cheeks and under my nose after i use an astringent or toner?

Will my freckles go away over time? What about lemon juice? (Please read everything)?

admin October 7th, 2010

Ok so I keep getting freckes on my chest and boob area, and I don’t want to grow up to be one of those ladies with freckles all over her chest. GROSSSSSSSSSS !
I now use Neutrogena spf 95 that blocks UVA and UVB rays so no more skin damage for me! :) )

But for the ones on my chest, will they fade?
and I got some on my face but they aint cute.. coz they aren’t like scattered across my nose and cheeks.. that would be cute. they’re VERYYYYYY light and like are in random spots on the side of my face & so on..

Also, I’m not interested in laser treatment, or stupid skin cream coz i kno they make ur skin wrinkle & sag. I’m only 13!!!!

But, does lemon juice help them fade? And, it won’t harm my skin right?? and, is it true freckles turn into sun spots when you get older?
:(

I like some of my freckles but some are in the wrong places, so please answer all of my questions thanks xxo
i’m italian so i have tan skin. by this post you probably thought i was irish since they get a bunch of freckles but im not. irish people’s freckles are beautiful! and i dont have as many as them lol. they have around one thousand freckles on their face, i have around fifty..

Boots Botanics, Biore and Neutrogena…?

admin October 6th, 2010

I’ve been looking for new facial products to use to replace the ones that I currently use now that are mediocre to somewhat dismal.
My skin type: Combination (oil prone in the t-zone and normal to dehydrated in the cheeks), acne-prone and mild sensitivity.

I am in need of a new day and night moisturizer, eye cream, facial scrub, face masks and MAYBE a toner to use at night

There are a few products I came across, and I’m just wondering if anyone has used any of them and what your thoughts were (please include your skin type as well)

- Boots Botanics Purifying Face Scrub
- Boots Botanics In-Shower Facial Polish
- Boots Botanics conditioning clay mask
- Boots Botanics Quenching Face Mask
- Boots Face rosewater toner
- Boots Botanics Complexion Refining Day Moisture Lotion SPF 12
- Biore SkinPreservation See the Future fortifying eye cream
- Biore SkinPreservation even smoother microderm exfoliator
- Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Intensive Night Cream

So, if you have used any of these products, or something similar (meaning designed to be for the same skin issues or give similar results) then please give your feedback, thanks!

Btw, I am 18 and living in Canada (the Boots brand is available at the Shoppers Drug Mart here if any Canadians didn’t know already)

Skin care for females in their late 20's?

admin September 16th, 2010

I am a 29 yr. old female, and I am trying to get a regular skin regimen going on. Unfortunately, I know very little about this stuff. I don’t have wrinkles and don’t get out in the sun much. I am also brown skinned- Southeast Asian. I currently use neutragena bar soup (usually fragarance free), then a scrub- either St. Ives or Nivea for Men… I use the Nivea more cause it is gentler and I notice less dry skin thru out the day. I have very dry skin around my nose and cheeks so the scrubbing helps me clear it off. Oh, and then a Dove SPF 15 moisturizer. I have been thinking about going the Oil of Olay Regenerist route… but have no idea what to get! Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? Any other brands…?

Is a 14 yr old eligible for using age-lift cream?

admin August 25th, 2010

Hi. I m a 14 yr old girl. my mom uses a Garnier Age-Lift cream to vanish her wrinkles and all. My skin tone all over the face is uneven, somewhere there are dark patches and on the cheeks theres flawless white.
the cream is like a skin whitening cream but it also makes 40 yr old ladies look younger. i used it once and for some days my patches wereimperceptiblee. but again after a few weeks they began appearing. i asked mom to gimme the cream but she refused saying 14 yr olds are too young to use such products.
Is it true?
If it is,
then am i allowed to use face whitening foam???

Best skin care line for someone in their late 20s wanting to keep youthful appearance as long as possible?

admin August 24th, 2010

I’ve never used any skin care line set except for a Mary Kay one that I got as a Christmas gift once. It made me break out on my checks and nose and I hardly ever break out at all, so I quit using it and wound up giving it away to my Mom since none of the Mary Kay stuff causes her any skin problems. So now I’m back to square one, only using St. Ives apricot scrub occassionaly and that’s it as far as my skin care regimen goes. If I notice that I have super dry skin, I’ll put on a little pure unscented Vaseline on my face or some Eucerin cream as these don’t cause me to break out. I’m really worried about getting deep wrinkles later on in life though. My main issues with skin are dryness and I also have pretty sensitive skin. I already have some fine lines on my cheeks, not so much around my eyes, the lines are obvious only on my cheeks but only when I smile. What skin care line do you use to keep your skin looking great? I’d like answers from women of all ages please. Thanks :)

Elasicity of the skin?

admin August 17th, 2010

Alright, well over the summer I started getting more compliments saying I was pretty, ect.. and I noticed it was because of like part of of cheeks reduced in size? Like the skin below the cheekbone lessened, if that makes sense. I’ve noticed recently that it has come back which confuses me. How is it possible for that to happen, face changes and then changes back. Most importantly, I’m trying ot figure out how to make it go back to the way it was, the only thing I did differently over the summer was drink a lot of water and walk a lot… but is there anything else I can do since I’m very busy?

Would wrinkle cream/cocoa butter work on my face?

reaaaly appreciate any answers here.
I don’t think I lost ‘fat’ because I’m already pretty thin.
