Skin care products? Suggestions needed.?

admin July 18th, 2011

I’m looking for some skin care products that work really well and aren’t too expensive. The more natural the better. First of all, I have slightly oily skin, but sometimes it’s also dry (weird, huh?). I don’t have huge breakouts, but once in a while I’ll have some acne. Also I’m trying to get rid of some wrinkles- expression lines around my mouth, and also whiten my skin- I have darker skin in some areas, like around my mouth. I also have some acne scars- they’re light, but I’d like them to disappear completely, you know? Oh, and suggestions for lotions, moisturizers, etc, will also be appreciated. So, to sum it all up, I’d like product(s) that will get rid of acne, scars and blemishes, dark skin and tans, wrinkles, and make skin healthier and smoother. Also, it’s best if the price is under each. Thanks! Looking forward to the answers ;)

Best acne treatments for dry/sensitive skin?

admin February 21st, 2011

hi, so im a 15 year old female, and i was looking for some acne products to help my skin.
I have a few pimples here and there, but my biggest problem is the scars left behind from previous blemishes. It gets really embarrassing, and i hate having to put on a bunch of foundation, and concealers. So does anyone know a good acne treatment system that would help? I have very sensitive skin, and many treatments dry my skin out, causing more breakouts. =/
Any help?
thanks everyone<3

I need an Acne Treatment for my skin, please help, its depressing.?

admin November 27th, 2010

I am 27 years old. I have a break out lasting for two weeks of every month. This started about one year ago, I never had this problem before.
I have been to my doctor, prescriptiion medicines do not work. I have tried clearasil, neutrogena, all these over the counter products and my skin has had an allergic reaction to them, i get swollen eyes and red bumps and rash on my face if i use these products. I have also tried PROACTIV, this messed up my skin the same way with a bad reaction.
So basically I am looking for something without the benzoyl peroxide and salycic acid, as i am assuming i am allergic to one or noth of these products, when i use stuff with these in them, i get a reaction which lasts up to 10 days.
Please help, i need this asap, this is getting me down. I am on a healthy diet, i exercise daily, and drink loads of water. I have also tried the honey mask, it doesnt work. PLEASE HELP.
Oh and one more thing, i need something that will clear my blemishes, again i have tried alot, they seem to get darker. I need something for my blemishes.

I'm Asian and i use sun-screen(cream) – is it good? Will it work?

admin November 25th, 2010

I use SPF 20 (3 stars) (Malibu).

Should i use it – im kind of olive/golden skin and Asian.

Is it good if i use it – will it prevent my skin from getting wrinkles and BLEMISHES? (odd patches of melanin on face)?

Will it harm my skin?

Once i use it, will i ALWAYS have to use it (will my skin depend on it)?

THanks All!
is it good if i use a high SPF cream e.g. 30?

is it better than 20?

Could it be a bad sign when an eye cream causes a burning sensation when first applying it or is this normal?

admin November 23rd, 2010

I have posted questions like these on here before as I am trying out different facial products and my face seems to be somewhat sensitive to some ingredients in a lot of them. The latest product I am trying is Neutrogena Anti-Oxidant Age Reverse Eye Cream and when I first apply it, I feel a burning sensation, but it doesn’t last long and it doesn’t make my skin red or irritated looking. It just doesn’t seem like it should do this. Is there something better out there for people like me who have this problem? I am over 40 but have very good skin with no wrinkles or blemishes. I am intrigues by products that promise to keep your skin youthful looking but it’s ironic that these are usually the products that irritate my skin.

Is this a good skin care routine for my age?????

admin November 13th, 2010

I am in my early 20s and I finally stopped breaking out often. Is this good? I want to prevent future wrinkles and still keep away blemishes.

Morning: Wash with Burt’s Bees natural bark cleanser
Garden tomato toner
Burt’s Bees Radiance Serum
Eucerin SPF facial lotion

Night: Wash with Noxzema
Burt’s Bees Garden Tomato toner
Burt’s Bees Repair serum
Then I alternate between prescription Retin-A cream and Burt’s Bees Radiance Night cream

2x weekly I wash with St. Ives Apricot scrub and I use a face mask of mashed avocado and honey

Is this a good skin care routine for someone my age? Thank you?

skin care for mid 20's guy?

admin October 28th, 2010

Ok I’m in my mid 20’s and I still have acne problems. I need help…short of going to a skin doctor or what not I need suggestions on types of products I could try before I go spend thousands with some "specialist".

I don’t have crazy acne…but looking at my skin right now I have about 3 pimple on my forehead and a few elsewhere on my face. I also have blemishes were one part of my face has darker red spots on it. I would love for my skin to be all one color :-) . What’s the best way to start helping my skin.

I eat okay as it is…fruits and vegies…gotta start cutting back on some foods though. Any suggestions on moisturizers? I’ve tried proactive for pimples when I was about 18 and all it did was make me worse.

Thanks for the help. I also have wrinkles too…which kind of sucks because I’m not that old!!!!

Extremely Dry Skin In Places & Bumps Like infected hairs spreading on my arms, legs, and now my back?

admin October 14th, 2010

I am a 35yr old white female with skin that tans easy, some would say olive skin type, but my skin type is normal except for my face which is sensitive and therefore I have to be careful what I use on it as I’ve used products like Noxzema and it left a few holes where my pores created a zitt and when it healed there was a hole, or if I use a makeup remover it will leave my face red like Rosasia, so for the most part I have only used Oil of Olay products which entails the throw away towelettes you wet and wash to remove dirt and makeup and their basic moisturizer but for sensitive skin and sometimes their Regernist night cream.

For the most part my face has been clear only getting blemishes once in a great while, but my upper arms have a skin condition that I dont know the name of, which the hair folicles easily trap dirt or whatever and create a zitt but it isnt, according to the dermatologist, and he told me there was no cure for it. For the most part it goes in stages where winter time seems to be the worst and the summer better. Over the past 2 months I’ve noticed my forearms getting these infected hairs and my lower legs and even my upper part, past my knee, it is happening too and I’ve never shaved the hairs above my knee and it also looks like I have razor burn as well, but again never shave the hair above my knee as it’s blonde and hard to see.

Today I’ve noticed the bumps speading on to my back moving downward from my shoulder blade so I am starting to worry as my once smooth and soft skin is turning in to nothing but a lot of bumps that look and act like zitts.

Another issue I have going on is on my ear lobes and on my eye lids I am experiencing extremely dry skin to the point that it looks like I’ve never put lotion on in my life and it is peeling off like a sun burn. It is dead skin and no matter what lotion or if I remove the dead skin does it work and in fact it comes back the very next day looking the exact same way. I’ve been using Eucerine Aquapore(spelling is wrong) which is a very good moisturizer and penatrates deep but it only helps as long as I apply it and it doesnt heal the skin like it normally would.

So I am getting very concerned as something has changed with my skin and I cant figure out what is going on. I am a stay at home mom that doesnt get out much, I havent changed any hair, makeup, perfume, lotion, or even detergent products or started any new medications. I moisturize my entire body every day and my face several times a day. I normally dont wear any make up and I really dont sweat very easily. Eventhough I tan easily I dont purposely go out and do it and I keep the sun off my face as much as possible as i want to avoid skin damage and wrinkles. So any suggestions you can offer I would be most grateful please.

Can you use Proactiv and Dermaline Skin Whitening cream simultaneously?

admin September 29th, 2010

I’m suddenly experiencing a blemish outburst as a result of stress. the blemishes left dark spots behind. I want to try out Proactiv for the first time, hope it works. But i want to get rid of the dark spots fast and want to try out Dermaline as well. Can both products be used at the same time?

is it possible to undo skin whitening?

admin September 21st, 2010

okay, so i’m using this soap that’s supposed to help with blemishes and acne and such, but it also says it whitens skin as well. i like the complexion of my skin (i’m asian; so brown/tan skin), but i want to try this soap to see if it’ll help with my acne.
so, is there anyway i can undo this skin whitening while still using the soap?
it’s called mestiza soap.

What is the best treatment and make-up foundation for severe acne and oily skin?

admin August 12th, 2010

I have oily skin and bad acne…I have tried seriously everything from Pro-active to clean and clear to neutrogena to noxema to arbonne and everything in between. Salycilic acid and benzoyl peroxide do not work for me. I was looking into emu oil, but i dont know if it would make my skin even more oily or not, and if it would look good under foundation. I wear make-up as well, and since my face gets really oily quickly, i was looking for a good foundation that covers up blemishes and also does not look oily. I guess I am looking for suggestions about any face washes, creams, makeup or treatments that work well. I am a college student, and I do not have all that much money, so I usually do not get real expensive stuff. Thanks!

I Need A Good (Non Expensive) Face/Skin Moisturizer For Very Dry Sensitive Skin?

admin August 3rd, 2010

Hello, I’m 35F with normal skin type, and olive skin tone, that has used Oil of Olay for Sensitive Skin since I was 16 and had no issues until now as I go through my 1st cold winter in Nebraska after living in Austin, TX for the past 9 years.

My skin has drastically changed due from my pregnancy in 2008 where it went from a minor skin condition on my arms that has now spread to my entire body, hair breaking & falling out, and now my beautiful, blemish free, face is dry and feels like snake skin, instead of the soft, moisturized skin I once had. It’s really bad next to my ear and on my ears, as I have skin peeling off like I had a bad sunburn.

I’ve always taken care of my face, kept it out of the sun, used good makeup products, and washed it and only got blemishes once a month which I have no control over. I dont have wrinkles and I want to keep it that way but my Oil of Olay daily cream and my Oil of Olay Regernist Night Cream are not cutting it anymore so I need help. Also, it’s rare that I wear makeup so you can rule that issue out.

I dont want to join a skin club or have someone be a rep of a product they want me to sell. I’ve been there, done that, it’s a waste of my time and my skin cant take the abuse. It is sensitive, meaning anything with alcohol turns my face red. I’ve tried Mary Kay, Avon, and Clinique as well and nothing worked. I’ve used Lubriderm and even my baby’s lotion and nothing helps. So if anyone can give me a product that doesnt cost a ton of money that they know 100% will work, please share and give me a Web site to visit. Thanks

good acne treatment for sensitive, oily skin?

admin August 3rd, 2010

I have oily skin, but it is also very sensitive. I have been using Proactiv for awhile, but it is expensive and I think it is a little harsh on my skin (although it does a pretty good job of clearing up the acne).

What products should I try that will work well with sensitive skin by still take care of the oil and blemishes?

Thanks.
