ive tried using pro activ and my skin is sensitive for the benzoyl peroxide which is in most acne treatments so i dont really know any other ways to get rid of acne

Had acne for a year and a half.
FINALLY cleared my skin. No miracle treatment or anything. Just used benzoyl peroxide (Clearasil) but I believe it was just thru being patient and persistent.
However the minute I stop using benzoyl peroxide, face breaks out immediately. I don’t want to have to use benzoyl peroxide forever. I’ve heard it ages the skin b/c it dries it out so much. And my skin actually does look as if it’s aging prematurely (lines, wrinkles, dull).
What can I do to keep acne away once I all cleared up?

I do not use a scrub because it irritates my skin. I do not use a toner because I find it unnecessary. I do not use a moisturizer because I am oily and do not want to get oilier.I apply my oil-absorbent on top of my sunscreen to soak up excess oil through the morning. I reapply my sunscreen with my pressed powder during the day. However, I blot with a clean tissue paper first and then I layer my skin with pressed powder.
What do you think of the products that I use?

I’m 15, and my skin is young and sensitive to most skin products, but I also have mild acne. What do you think? Benzoyl peroxide irritates and makes my skin more red

I am in search of a good acne treatment kit for sensitive skin. I cannot use benzoyl peroxide products, as I have an allergy to them. I would prefer a kit that isn’t loaded with parabens and other harsh chemicals. I’ve found that the less chemicals there are in the products I use on my skin, the better. Any suggestions on kits containing a cleanser, moisturizer, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
My acne is mild to moderate.

i use neutrogena hydrating acne treatment every night… but i havent found a good lotion yet?? i have rlly dry skin i was looking at moissturinz cremes bu they have oil in it…. does that neutrogena healthy skin anti wrinkle cream work good for dry skin at night and im 17 lol….
and i looked at other grad pictures and i could tlel who had natural beauty, who had a caked on face and whose pimples were showing.
i kinda wana be the one with natural beauty… but honestly it doesnt look like it since i have dark circles.. too. and i dotn wana cake the makeup on…. and i shold prlly get my hair done professionaly eh?

p.s i was also thinking benzoyl peroxide to treat my acne but my moms like STOP WASTING MONEY ON CREAMS U BITCH lol she honestly says that to me…. lol but i already have the neturogena acne one.. kk thnx

I have combination skin which means its oily in some places like around the nose and then its dry on my cheeks so i have oily and dry skin. I want to try a new acne treatment under 25$. I currently use clean and clear continuous cleanser and that works pretty well. Sacrylic acid doesnt really work for me so i would prefer something with benzoyl peroxide(:

I got rid of most of my acne but now my face looks really old and dirty… if anyone knows what i mean.. The skin around my nose looks like i have mild wrinkles.. only in certain lights and my skin color varies… depends on the light i think i have alot of blemishes..

MORNING:
Cleanser: Vitamin C gel cleanser.
Toner: 5% tea tree oil solution
Moisturizer: clean and clear oil free 0.5% salicylic acid
Sunscreen: oil free SPF 30 (if I plan to be outdoors)
My night routine is the same except for I use a prescription cream with 1% clindamycin and 5% benzoyl peroxide, and obviously no sunscreen.
My goals are to keep my skin clear and free of wrinkles. I am a male in my mid 20s. I drink plenty of water, exercise, sleep well, drink moderately, don’t use drugs, and I eat healthy.
My skin type is somewhere between combination and oily.

I am 27 years old. I have a break out lasting for two weeks of every month. This started about one year ago, I never had this problem before.
I have been to my doctor, prescriptiion medicines do not work. I have tried clearasil, neutrogena, all these over the counter products and my skin has had an allergic reaction to them, i get swollen eyes and red bumps and rash on my face if i use these products. I have also tried PROACTIV, this messed up my skin the same way with a bad reaction.
So basically I am looking for something without the benzoyl peroxide and salycic acid, as i am assuming i am allergic to one or noth of these products, when i use stuff with these in them, i get a reaction which lasts up to 10 days.
Please help, i need this asap, this is getting me down. I am on a healthy diet, i exercise daily, and drink loads of water. I have also tried the honey mask, it doesnt work. PLEASE HELP.
Oh and one more thing, i need something that will clear my blemishes, again i have tried alot, they seem to get darker. I need something for my blemishes.

such as wrinkles and fine lines also studies have shown it will cause cancer if used in a long term which you must consistently use this product even once you have gotten rid of all your pimples, a clear face, but you still have to use it forever, otherwise the pimples would break out once you stop using it…i don’t want to risk aging my skin or risk getting cancer, is there any other product that has no side effect ? any other product besides benzoyl peroxide? i saw the regime on acne. org but i’m thinking what if you take away the benzoyl cream and only have the cleanser and the moisturizer in the regime without the benzoyl cream, would this still heal my acne condition? clear it , i wont need to worry even if i have to use it forever it will only positive for me or are there other product with no side effect?

Hi! I have really bad acne, and I use PanOxyl right now (it’s a 10% benzoyl peroxide cleanser). I also moisturize so I won’t get those icky flakiessss. I know for clear skin, you’re supposed to do a cleanser, exfoliator, and moisturizer. My skin is not clearing up, and I was thinking of adding the exfoliator like you’re supposed to, but I’m just worried it’ll make my skin really sensitive, flaky and irritated(it gets irrittated easily). What should I do? I want clear skinnn already!!!

i’m allergic to benzoyl peroxide (it makes my face super irritated and swollen), and I’m having trouble finding a good spot treater. im using neutrogena oil free face wash now which has salicylic acid in it which does not irritate my skin. i’m trying to find a salicylic acid spot thing that works but im having difficulties

After i use my acne treatment, its a face wash, my skin feels extreamly tight because its dry because of the 10 percent benzoyl peroxide.
So can i put lotion on my face so it wouldnt feel so tight and dry? Will it interfere with the acne treatment or is it ok?

I have never used sulfur products to treat my acne before, but since I’ve been using it, it works even better than the salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide on my skin. Why don’t more companies make products like this? It ACTUALLY works on my sensitive skin!!

I have oily skin and bad acne…I have tried seriously everything from Pro-active to clean and clear to neutrogena to noxema to arbonne and everything in between. Salycilic acid and benzoyl peroxide do not work for me. I was looking into emu oil, but i dont know if it would make my skin even more oily or not, and if it would look good under foundation. I wear make-up as well, and since my face gets really oily quickly, i was looking for a good foundation that covers up blemishes and also does not look oily. I guess I am looking for suggestions about any face washes, creams, makeup or treatments that work well. I am a college student, and I do not have all that much money, so I usually do not get real expensive stuff. Thanks!

I’m 12 years old and I’m looking for a product that will help clear up my acne and prevent future break outs, but won’t dry out my sensitive skin. Preferably, one that doesn’t contain benzoyl peroxide, alpha-hydroxy-acid (AHA), and beta-hydroxy-acid (BHA).
PS: I use an Aveeno cleanser daily, and a really gentle neutrogena exfoliator monthly. Those are the only products I’m using right now.
PPS: I do use some make-up.

Over the counter acne treatments (benzoyl peroxide) work GREAT–get my skin free and clear of acne.
However I hate to keep using it b/c it’s drying to the skin. For me, dry face = wrinkles and premature aging. My skin doesnt look supple and moisturizers bring back ance.
Problem is, once I discontinue using benzoyl peroxide, pimples come back full force.
What can I do?
Proactive works too but it’s also benzoyl peroxide. The moisturizers they make breed acne and slow healing.
Salicylic acid doesnt work as well for me but I’m sure that since it’s an acid it will probably dry the skin out with long term use.
Can anyone recommend a simple regimin that keeps acne away without the use of drying products.
Or can anyone recommend a moisturizer or night cream that you have used that doesnt bring back your acne.

I am allergic to benzoyl peroxide, and I have been using a Neutrogena rapid spot clear treatment for months now and have been getting no results. What is a good spot treatment that doesn’t have benzoyl peroxide in it, but works well?

my skin is extremely sensitive and I’ll get allergic reactions. even when I put a lotion on my hands and then touch my face, i’ll get a rash everywhere.
